This is a fast and easy Kitchen Hammock Pattern! It can be used for fruit, bread, k-cups, towels, napkins and more! With worsted 4 cotton yarn and a 4mm hook you will have your hammock in no time! 
This pattern uses basic stitches and is easy for any skill level! The Guage is not super critical as you will be able to “scrunch” the ends of the hammock onto the dowel rod like a curtain and you can stop on any of the middle rows (8 - 19) to make it shorter or add rows after row 18 to make it longer. 
If you really want it to be as close as possible, see next item
4hdc = approx. 1 inch / 3 rows = approx. 1 inch - Swatch = approx 4 x 4: 
Begin: Ch 17
Row 1: Hdc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc next 15, ch 1. (16st)
Row 2 - 12: Turn, 16 hdc, ch 1. (16st) 
Sizing:
Hammock is approximately 12 inches (wide / depth of cabinet) x 18 inches long 
To make the hammock longer you will add additional rows after row 18
Hammock is designed for standard 12 inch deep upper cabinets 
To make wider - beginning ch is multiples of 6 + 1 
If making wider you will need to adjust the length of the dowel used
